Breaking news
Videoscope/Endoscope Inspection
We have recently increased our capability to carry out uncompromised and precise inspections using the latest IPLEX portable videoscopes. Having 3 units with 1.5m, 2m and a 10m cable capability and 6mm fully articulating cameras gives us the ability to inspect objects inside narrow paths with rough or sharp surfaces and temperatues up to 100 degrees C.
The touch screen makes the operation faster and more convenient. Able to rotate the probe 360 degrees and transmit the image over a long distance so that a deeper pipeline detection can be observed using HD cameras making the image clearer using LED lighting reaching more than 24,000Lux means there is nothing else on the market able to give the same image quality.
Eddy-current Weld Inspection
We now offer detection of surface cracks using Eddy current and have Level 2 qualified technicians, this is great to use without the removal of paint! - great cost savings in time and money especially on EWP major 10/5 year certifications and Crane inspections.
Eddy-current inspection is applied to welds using specialist probes and is not as messy as Dye Penetrant or Magnetic Particle inspection. Big cost savings can be made by not having to remove the paint.
DE has level 2 qualified operators and full IANZ accreditation to carry out this method of inspection, we have EC equipment based in both the North Island and South Island branches.
Phase Array Weld Inspection
We offer full manual Phase Array flaw inspection of welds, this method of ultrasonic inspection fastly improves the time and ability to interpret flaws in welds than the traditional UT A scan method.
Gamma Radiography
Dont forget DE has both Gamma (IR-192) and Xray equipment to inspect welds in pipes and plates including an ultra light weight x-ray tube that only weighs 9kg.

Customer References
Just a note to thank you Chris for your service yesterday on our unit hired to WEL Networks, Hamilton.
You have gone well beyond your call of duty in arranging the clean down and welding repairs in order for the tests to pass and we very much appreciate this level of support out in the field; certainly this becomes all the difference for us when making decisions on where to put testing work and its refreshing to experience service at this level.
Kind Regards

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for all the efforts made in December in getting our Wellington equipment tested.
We realize that this was not made easy due to the volume of unscheduled work and that it was the first time DE had conducted work for us.
Please thank your team for getting the job done, this did not go unnoticed in our company, and it has given DE a great reputation in our company.
I personally would like to commend DE on the standard of professionalism that is carried throughout the company.
We have a few more hurdles to clear before we get the logistics and systems operating smoothly, and from the experience we have had with DE so far, I have great confidence that we are going to get it right to have a “one stop shop” and minimise our exposure to risk.
Thank you also for the willingness to partnering up in getting an optimum testing regime operational in Wellington.
We look forward to working with you and your team this year.

Reports and Certificates downloading
You might notice on all pages of the DE website there is now a new orange icon near the bottom of the page and next to our facebook link. This is where you can go to download reports, files and certificates rather than waiting for the slow mail and processing that sometimes occurs. The quicker results gives you better control over your equipment use. The aim here is simply to get reports to you faster, more direct and enable everyone to know what was tested including historical and archived files.
